3,000 hits! Holy guacamole I can't believe I got that many hits! Thank you all for your support! This calls for some ah-mazing art that I will probably be creating this weekend because of the crud-tastic weather

So, news about my current status and/or intriguing random ramblings about what's up in Colleen's world. First of all (may the choir gods not strike thee down with a lightening bolt) the district choir contest was canceled because of the crazy-butt weather. I'm actually really happy because I am completely exhausted and I really didn't want to be out in a blizzard at one in the morning. Spring-like weather at the beginning of the week (70 degrees) and then blizzard weather by the end of the week. Weird wer wer wer.


I'm going to Italy in 2 weeks, how splendid! I'm completely ecstatic and I can't wait to see other artists (including my favorite, Da Vinci) and reading some Latin because I took classes on the dead language for a few years. I'm going to be staying in a convent (because its super safe) and I'm going to see the pope even though I'm not catholic! Huzzah! I might just pass out after I tour the art school there -ha ha-


When I get back, one of my famous 'love of my life' people is going to SING TO ME!!! My wonderful, gracious mother gave me tickets to see MICHAEL BUBLE! I've been listening to his new cd- "Call Me Irresponsible" and I cannot stop singing "It had better be tonight" *sighs* which has some Italian in it which means I am going to sing it when I'm in Italy *yay* Right now though, I have "I'll make a man out of you" from the movie, Mulan. How addictive that song is XO


I am so happy that Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova got the award for best soundtrack/music for the movie, Once! Yay! I also can't wait to see the movie "Persepolis" - I heard the graphic novel is pretty consistent with the movie too

Speaking of graphic novels, there's this ex Bexley High School graduate who's coming to the school to talk about his new book that has research and inspirational writing/comic art about college life and setting goals in the art field. He also mentions how art is continually expanding and becoming more of a highly requested job field, etc.


I'm taking Intaglio again and I am really pleased with the work that has resulted in my etching work lately. Hopefully I can scan a print or two when I'm done since I've been either sick or 'blizzarded' out of CCAD. Fun times ... not. : /
